The aim of this study was to develop an assessment of the geographical factor of the soil-ecological potential based on five main criteria including relief, slope, vegetation cover, direction and river density caused by the temporary and permanent flow of water. Uvs province was selected as a research area considering soil characteristics and its distribution features. In order to develop an assessment of the geographical factor of the soil-ecological potential in spatial analysis, we used the method by combining multi-criteria decision analysis based on geographical information system with an analytical hierarchy process. Each of the criteria was ranked according to the sequencing surface, vegetation cover, slope, river density, and direction. Research results are assessed by 1-5 points and divided into 5 categories with excellent (5), good (4), medium (3), poor (2) and bad (1).
