Abstract: Sand distribution has increasing trend of expansion as a result of land degradation and desertification on zones of semi-arid and dry zones when effected by climate change of world. Therefore, we studied spatial and time series change of sand distribution on Mongolian territory using remote sensing (RS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This study were mapped distribution and movements of sand of Mongolia and detected change on time series between 1984 and 2014. Final results considered that sand distribution were increased 0.46 percent on last 30 years in Mongolia.
