Mongolia has 5565 rivers and it is considered that their self-purification is high. This peculiarity is connected to the reasons that rivers’ flow is high, and distance between polluting sources is far, and population density is small, and local area is distant from market, and infrastructure is not developed, and there is a small number of factories that applies chemical pollutants and these rivers are located far from urbanization.
But owing to urbanization, intensive centralization, huge utilization of open and underground resources, there is increasing tendency on that these factors negatively affect ecosystems as well as population’s health.
