Takyr soils distributed very few in Mongolia according to soil map of Mongolia (1:500 000). Takyr soils specifics location is center of flat depressions in the Gobi desert area. We presented results of Takyr soils physical and chemical properties research since 2013, in the Gobi: Gobi-Altai, Umnugobi, Dornogobi and Dundgobi aimag. We analyzed soil organic material, pH, carbonate, bulk density and particle size. Takyr soil’s properties compared with surrounding zonal soils : Brown and Light Brown. Soil properties mean value was following: organic content was 1.740% and 4 to 5 times higher than surrounding soils, pH-8.47, carbonate (CaCO3)-3.83%, sand (2-0.05mm) - 34%, silt (0.05-0.002mm) - 49% and clay (<0.002mm) - 17%. Takyr and takyr like soil’s particle size more fine than Brown and Light Brown soil. Takyr and takylike soils have rich organic and clay and silt. According to the most study observed Gobi desert soil’s more sand. Clay and silt particles easily move by wind for that takyr soils might be origin of the Asian dust storm.
